NVIM terms and conditions
Application to remove native vegetation
The NVIM native vegetation removal tool will generate a report that is submitted with a permit application to remove, destroy or lop native vegetation under Clause 52.16 and Clause 52.17 of Victoria’s planning schemes. The report should also be included with any other application to remove, destroy or lop native vegetation.
Proposal to protect native vegetation
The NVIM native vegetation offset tool will generate a report that is used with a proposal to protect native vegetation. It can be used if you want to establish an offset site on your own property and wish to use this for your own native vegetation removal. The report is added to an offset management plan and included with an agreement to protect and manage the land for conservation.
Obligations in the Biodiversity Conservation Strategy area
This NVIM tool enables you to estimate the habitat compensation obligations for urban development and identify any conservation areas on parcels of land within the area covered by the Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and subject to an approval under section 146B of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth) for the Melbourne Strategic Assessment (MSA) program.
