The 2019-20 bushfires were exceptional in size and impact.
Additional funding was provided by the Victorian Government in response to the impact of the 2019-20 bushfires for the Biodiversity Bushfire Recovery Grants.
These grants support bushfire recovery activities for communities affected by fire in the East Gippsland, North East and Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Areas.
Grants will contribute to the targets in Protecting Victoria's Environment - Biodiversity 2037 to stop the decline of our native plants and animals and improve our natural environment.
A total of $900,000 in grants for 52 projects was approved.
