The Victorian Government’s Icon Species Funding Program focuses on protecting and managing a range of native plants and animals, threatened species and habitats through collaborative planning, increased engagement and alignment of natural resources, scientific, educational and community sectors.

Through this funding, we are providing funds for targeted actions designed to protect and conserve Victoria’s threatened species. This year, over $870,000 of funding was awarded to 14 projects across the state to support the ongoing protection of icon species. You can read more in the announcement from Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change Lily D’Ambrosio here
