Rein: I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to talking with people and stuff. So it's really nice to, you know, come together with a bunch of people with similar interests.

Jenny: It's very easy to become friends with other volunteers because you start with a common purpose. As you're weeding and working, there's a chance for lots of conversation. So then you start to talk about books and movies and grandchildren.

Rein: Yeah, the people here are really nice. I guess that's one of the most important parts of these kind of groups is the connections you make.

Carlie: Getting to break down those barriers between generations and ideas has been so amazing.

Jenny: I’d definitely recommend to get involved with volunteering because it's healthy, physically, good for your mental health to be out talking to people and doing something where you feel that you make a difference.
